MCC South Campus is a fully accredited institution dedicated to fulfilling the area’s educational needs. It offers courses in more than 90 fields of study, with an emphasis on high-tech and computer skills.

The South Campus has intensified its outreach into the community. The new administration has aggressively worked with both community and business leaders to develop academic programs off-site to meet the many needs of business organizations.

The South County Adult and Community Education Center offers adult academic classes for a high school diploma or GED, English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), and adult enrichment classes.

SCTI offers technical training to high school and adult students utilizing state-of-the-art methods and equipment. SCTI continually updates its curriculum to keep up with the growing community.

University of South Florida

USF Sarasota/Manatee has begun implementing a five-year plan to substantially increase the number of degree programs, faculty, and student enrollment.

Moreover, campus expansion plans are being put in place with an eye toward developing USF-owned property just north of the bayside campus location for a "smart classroom" facility to accommodate near future needs.

Approximately 880 students from throughout the world pursue the Bachelor of Fine Arts degree (B.F.A.) in six majors: Computer Animation, Fine Arts, Graphic & Interactive Communication, Illustration, Interior Design, Photography, and Digital Imaging.
