Authorities warn of IRS scam

The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office is warning citizens to be cautious about a telephone scam commonly known as the "IRS scam,” popping up on the Sun-coast during tax season.


County parks get even more dog friendly

The Sarasota County Commission on Tuesday approved a resolution designating 71 Sarasota County parks and preserves in north and south county as "dog friendly." These are sites where dogs are welcome, but must be leashed at all times.


Venice Fire scores ISO rating of 2
